A mini-me is someone who looks just like you, only younger or smaller — a child with your face, or a friend who copies your clothes and hair. People also use it, smiling, for a son or daughter who walks and talks like the parent. The pieces are mini- (“small”) and me (“I / myself”): a little version of you. A 1999 comedy spy film, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Me, had a tiny copy of the bad guy named Mini-Me, and that made the phrase famous; the building blocks were already clear, but the film put them on a character. It is playful and informal, used in speech and light writing, not in a serious report. Though actually, it can sting a little if you say it about an adult who did not ask to be anyone’s copy.
「mini-me」指長得跟你很像、只是比較小或比較年輕的人，例如跟你長得一模一樣的小孩，或是模仿你穿搭和髮型的朋友。人們有時也會笑著拿來形容走路、說話都像父母的孩子。它的字面組成很直接：「mini-」是小的意思，「me」是我，整體就是小版的自己。
這個字之所以有名，是因為 1999 年一部間諜喜劇電影裡，有個反派的小縮版角色就叫這個名字。組成的字本來就很清楚，電影只是把這個說法套到一個角色身上，才讓它紅起來，後來變成一般用語。
