Meticulously is how you do something when you are meticulous: with great care for small details, making sure it is right. You can pack a box meticulously, check figures meticulously, or plan a trip meticulously. It tells you about the action, not about the person’s whole character. The tone is the same as meticulous — mostly praise, a little formal, and sometimes a hint that someone is almost too careful.
一絲不苟地;極為仔細地
組成From meticulous + -ly. The -ly ending turns the adjective into an adverb: “in a meticulous way.”
同家族的字
- meticulousthe adjective; add -ly to describe how the action is done
