Mediation is when someone who is not on either side — a neutral person called a — helps two people or two groups who disagree to talk and find an agreement. It is common in disputes between neighbors, in divorces, in workplace conflicts, and even between countries. Mediation is usually calmer and cheaper than going to court, because the does not decide who is right; they just help both sides listen to each other and reach a solution together.
