A marketeer is someone who sells goods or services, or who works hard to push them. Newspapers and older business writing like this word. In an office today, people more often say marketer, and that is the usual modern word. Though actually, marketeer can feel a bit colourful or old-fashioned, in the same family of endings as : a person named after what they do. It is a person, not a place, and it has nothing to do with making a mark on paper.
