Lux is the scientific unit for measuring how bright light is on a surface - used by engineers and photographers to describe how well-lit a room or a scene is. Separately, brands sometimes add 'Lux' to a product's name just to sound fancy, borrowing the sound of the word 'luxury' - though that use has nothing to do with the real science unit.
