Lusaka is the capital city of , a country in the south of Africa. It is inland, not on the sea. The government sits there, and it is the country's biggest city. English speakers usually stress the middle: loo-SAH-kuh. You meet the name on maps, in the news, and in sport more than in stories. Though actually, students sometimes fold several southern African names into one picture — with Zimbabwe, or a capital that 'must' be a port. Lusaka is 's capital, and it is not a coastal city.
