    Lughole is a British informal word for an ear. It is and a bit rough — the sort of thing a parent might snap ('Wash your lugholes!') or a comic voice might use, not a doctor and not a school essay unless you are quoting speech. Lug already means 'ear' in informal British English; lughole just pictures the ear as a hole you hear through. American English almost never uses it. Kind rather than cruel, but not polite.
