If you call a look, a joke, a film or a person lubricious, you mean they are too interested in sex, and they show it in a way that feels and unpleasant — not warm, not funny, just a bit disgusting. It is a formal, word. Most people would say sleazy, lewd or creepy instead. Though actually, the feeling in the word comes from an older picture of something slippery; that is why a lubricious stare can sound like it slides over you. You will meet it in reviews, novels and news writing, not in the playground. It is a critic’s word, never a compliment, and never a playful way to say “sexy”.
