The LSAT is the Law School Admission Test: a long exam that people take if they want to go to law school in the United States (and some schools in Canada and elsewhere also look at it). It is not a test of law itself. It tests how you read hard prose, and how you follow and pick apart arguments. For many years it also had a famous “logic games” section; that part has been dropped in recent years, so older study books may not match the test you sit now. Scores sit on a scale that law schools know well, and they read it beside your college grades. You say each letter, L-S-A-T. It is a different door from the SAT, which is for getting into university in the first place, not into law school after that.
