    Lotsa is not a new word with a new meaning. It is just “lots of” written the way it sounds when people talk fast: the little word “of” gets weak and sticks to “lots”. You put it before a noun, same as “lots of” — lotsa friends, lotsa food, lotsa time — and it means a large number or a large amount. You will meet it in texts, comics, song words, and dialogue, when a writer wants you to hear a casual voice. Though actually, it is a sound-spelling, not the form you use in school work or a careful email. Older, formal writing almost never uses it; younger, playful writing uses it for flavour. If you take the joke spelling away, the English is still just “lots of”.
