Something long-drawn-out goes on and on, longer than anyone wants or needs. A long-drawn-out meeting, a long-drawn-out war, a long-drawn-out court case: people are tired of it. The phrase is a complaint, not a compliment. “Drawn out” already means stretched in time; “long” piles the same idea on top, so the whole thing is clearly “too long.” You will see it more in writing and news than in quick chat. It is not the same as long-lasting. Long-lasting often praises a thing for staying useful; long-drawn-out sighs because it will not end. hold the three pieces together so you read them as one adjective before a noun.
「long-drawn-out」形容拖得很長、一直拖下去，長到大家都不想要的事情，像會議、戰爭或官司。這是抱怨的語氣，不是稱讚。drawn out 本來就有拉長時間的意思，前面再加 long，等於把同樣的意思又說一次，所以更強調「太久了」。
