Limpidity is the noun for that clear, see-through quality — of water, of air, or of writing. If a lake has limpidity, you can see the stones. If a paragraph has limpidity, the meaning sits in the open; nothing extra is fogging it. You will mostly meet this word in careful or literary English, not in chat. A teacher might praise the limpidity of a student’s explanation, meaning the idea came through . Same family as limpid, and still nothing to do with limpness.
