A lightstick is a glow stick: a plastic tube that makes a cold coloured glow when you bend it and the chemicals inside mix. There is no flame and no battery. , , and emergency kits use them; at night markets you buy cheap ones by the bag. English speakers more often say glow stick; lightstick turns up on packets and in army-style “chem light” talk. It is not a torch. In concert crowds the same Chinese word can also mean an electronic fan stick — though actually this English word, in the dictionary sense, is the snap-and-glow tube.
螢光棒(掰彎就會亮的那種;演唱會電子應援棒是另一樣東西)
