Legalise is the British spelling of legalize. It means to change the law so that people are allowed to do something that was not allowed before. Governments and parliaments legalise a thing; a person cannot legalise it just by doing it. American English legalize with a z. The meaning is the same. You will see legalise in British news about drugs, shops opening on Sunday, or other rules that used to say no.
合法化(英式拼法)
組成From legal + -ise. -ise is the British verb ending (American -ize). Legal and loyal come from the same old Latin word by different paths, so this verb sits beside a rare twin, loyalise — they match in their pieces, not in meaning.
