Largo is a music word. When a piece is marked largo, you play or sing it slowly, with a serious, open feeling — not rushing, not light. In Italian, largo means broad or wide; musicians took that to mean give the notes room. It is one of the slow speed marks you see on a score, slower than andante, and often slower than adagio too, though composers are not always tidy about the labels. You can also call a slow, broad piece a largo. The most famous one in the West is Handel's Largo — though actually that tune, Ombra mai fu, was marked larghetto, a little less slow, and the nickname stuck anyway. Outside music, English hardly uses largo.
