If something is lacy, it is made of lace, or it looks like lace: thin, open, with little holes in a pretty pattern. A lacy dress, lacy curtains, lacy underwear. Leaves can be lacy when the green is cut into a net. Though actually, cooks say it too: lacy , when the batter runs thin and the edges go in the pan. The word is soft and pretty. It is not a general word for “fancy” or “full of decoration.” It is that open, net-like look.
