A small tree, or a large bush, grown in gardens for long hanging stems of bright yellow flowers in late spring. use the word; in street talk many people just say “that yellow flowering tree.” Though actually, pretty as it is, the seeds and other parts are poisonous to people and animals — that is why careful keep it away from children and pets. You will also meet it in older stories and poems, where the yellow chains stand for late spring. It is not the same plant as the golden-shower tree many students already know.
