1. 1

In Hindu belief, Krishna is one of the most loved forms of the god — an avatar, a god come to earth as a person. Stories show him as a beautiful young man, often with dark blue or black skin; sometimes as a child who steals butter, sometimes as a cowherd with a flute, and later as the wise friend who speaks in the Bhagavad Gita before a great battle. Temples and paintings in India and around the world are full of him. You may also hear Hare Krishna from a group that chants his name. We write Krishna with a capital K because it is a holy name.

    克里希納(宗教場合亦作奎師那;梵語本義為「黑」,故有人稱黑天。毗濕奴最重要的化身之一)
