    kph tells you how fast something is moving, in per hour. A car at 100 kph covers one hundred in one hour if it keeps that speed. Weather reports may give the wind in kph too. It is the same idea as km/h, which you will see more often on road signs and in science class; kph is the form that sits beside mph (miles per hour). In the United States, road speed is usually in mph, so kph turns up when people talk about other countries, or about science. Write it in small letters, usually after a number: 80 kph. You do not need full stops.
