    In Britain, a Kitemark is an official sign a company may put on a product to show it has been checked and meets a good safety or quality standard. The sign is drawn in the shape of a kite — that is the whole name. You might see it on helmets, sockets, or glass. It belongs to the British Standards Institution; it is not a general word for any quality logo, and it is not part of daily life in Taiwan or the US. People also use it as a verb: a product is Kitemarked when it carries that sign. The word feels formal and British. Most only meet it in UK texts or on British goods.
