Kentucky is a state in the south of the United States, nicknamed the Bluegrass State. The bluegrass is a grass that can look bluish, and the name also stuck to a kind of country music from the region. The state is famous for bourbon whiskey, for horse farms and the Kentucky Derby, and for country and western music.
