Kentucky is a state in the south of the United States, nicknamed the State. The is a grass that can look , and the name also stuck to a kind of country music from the region. The state is famous for bourbon whiskey, for horse farms and the Kentucky Derby, and for country and western music. Eastern Kentucky is hill and coal country, and that part has long been poor by American standards; though actually the middle of the state, around the horse farms, is a different world, so 'poor state' is too neat if you picture the whole map as one place. In American English the name is everyday geography. outside the US often meet it first on a chicken-shop sign, because Kentucky Fried Chicken took the state's name — but the state and the restaurant are not the same thing.
組成The name is uncertain. It may come from an Iroquoian word for prairie or meadow; compare Mohawk kenhtà:ke ('the meadow') and Seneca gëdá'geh ('at the field'). It does not split into English pieces we can still hear.
