People say get your jollies (or get one’s jollies) when someone gets pleasure from an experience, especially a slightly strange one, or one other people might not admit they enjoy. It is informal, a bit slangy, and often a little sharp — the speaker is not fully approving. The pleasure can sound secret, childish, or not very kind. You would not use it for ordinary happy things like a nice meal with family; that is just fun or enjoyment. Though actually, jollies by itself can also mean fun times, and in British English a jolly can be a free outing paid for by work — but the phrase learners meet is almost always get your jollies, and that one has this sideways taste. You may also see she jollies him along, which is a different word-job: the verb jolly, meaning to cheer someone into doing something. That is not this sense.
