To joggle is to shake something a little, or to move a little yourself, up and down or from side to side — not a big, wild shake, just a small repeated movement. A tray might joggle if you carry it over a bumpy floor; a child might joggle a table without meaning to. You can joggle a thing, or a thing can joggle on its own. It is a , slightly playful word; many people would just say shake or jiggle instead. It comes from (to give a small push or shake) plus -le, a little ending that means do it again and again. So joggle is like something over and over in tiny moves. Builders also use joggle for a small bump or notch that helps two pieces of wood or stone lock together, but you will meet the small-shake meaning first.
