Inventiveness is the noun for that gift: the quality of thinking of new, different, or interesting ideas. You praise someone's inventiveness; you talk about the inventiveness of a design. It is a quality, not a countable object, so you rarely say 'an inventiveness' or 'two inventivenesses'. It is a little more formal than creativity, but in school English they sit very close. Though actually inventiveness often hints at clever problem-solving, not only at art.
