1. 1

An intranet is a private computer network inside one company or organisation. Staff use it to read notices, share files, and find internal tools. It can look a bit like the internet — pages, links, search — but people outside cannot just walk in; you usually need a work login. The name was built as a pair with internet: inter- is “between (many networks),” intra- is “inside (this one).” Though actually, many offices now keep the same things on cloud tools, so younger workers may hear “intranet” and picture an old company website. In Taiwan IT talk, people often keep the English word.

    內部網路;企業內網(台灣也常直接說 intranet)
