If something is intact, it is still whole: not broken, not spoiled, not missing a piece that matters. A cup can survive a fall intact. A roof can stay intact in a storm. People also use it for things that are not objects: her reputation was still intact; the team’s lead was intact at half-time. That stretch is common — the “thing” is still complete. You do not have to mean “nobody ever touched it.” You mean the damage did not land, or did not last. The word is a little neat and formal. In the kitchen you might just say it is fine, or still in one piece. Intact shows up in news and school writing.
