Inordinately is the “how” form of inordinate: it tells you that something is true far more than is reasonable. A person can be inordinately proud, inordinately fond of sweets, or inordinately cautious. A thing can be inordinately expensive or inordinately . Same formal, slightly old-fashioned feel as the adjective. In conversation, “far too” or “way too” does the same job. Though actually, it does not mean “in an way” — even though you can see order hiding in the middle. It means “beyond proper measure.”
