Indignantly tells you how someone spoke or acted: with that mix of anger and surprise, because they felt insulted or treated. Same feeling as , but now it is riding on a verb — said, asked, refused, walked out. It often sits next to speech: “she said indignantly.” You will meet it a lot in stories. Though actually, it can sound a bit big if you use it for small things. For a missing pencil, may be enough; indignantly is for when dignity has been poked.
