Ibuprofen is a medicine for pain, for fever, and for swelling. If your head hurts, your period cramps are bad, or your ankle is up after a fall, this is one of the common pills. It is not an antibiotic — it does not kill . It is also not the same as the household name 普拿疼. 普拿疼 is a different drug (). Ibuprofen is the one that also calms that hot, red, swollen feeling in a joint or muscle. You can often buy it without a special doctor’s note, under names like Advil or Nurofen, or just as ibuprofen. Though actually, it can bother the stomach, especially if you take it with no food, and it is not the right choice for everyone; people with some stomach or kidney problems must ask a doctor. Say it as eye-byoo-PRO-fen. It is an everyday pharmacy word: a little technical, but not fancy.
