"Hoy!" is an informal, loud shout used to get someone's attention, get them to stop, or show , similar to "hey!" - used especially in British and Australian English. It can be friendly ("Hoy, over here!") or a bit angry ("Hoy! Watch where you're going!"). There's also an older, less common meaning: a "hoy" was a small, usually single-sailed boat once used to carry cargo or passengers along a coast.
