1. 1

Hoochie is a harsh, name for a young woman. The speaker means she wears clothes that show a lot of skin and puts on a lot of make-up so that she looks sexy on purpose. It grew in African-American English in the 1900s, and you still hear it in pop songs and loose American talk. It is almost always a put-down, not a calm fashion word. Though actually, the same dress on two people will not get the same label — the word often says more about the speaker’s judgment than about the clothes. Please do not use it about a real person; it is meant to cut, and it can sound both mean and a bit dated.
