1. 1

Heidelberg is a town in southwest Germany, on the Neckar River. People know it as a university town — its university is old and famous — and for a castle on the hill above the river. In English it is a place name, always with a capital H. Students, tourists, and history books use it that way. Though actually, when English speakers say Heidelberg they often mean the picture-postcard place: castle, old streets, and young people on bikes, not a big industrial city. In English we usually say HIGH-del-berg.

組成來自德語 Heidelberg。後半 Berg 是「山、丘」;前半來源不確定,所以誠實的說法就停在這裡。
