- 1
A hearth is the floor of a fireplace, and the area right around it, where a fire burns safely inside a house. Because a fireplace was once the warmest, most gathered-around spot in a home, "hearth" is also used to mean home and family life in general, especially in the phrase "hearth and home," meaning the comfort and warmth of family life.
壁爐地板/爐邊;(引申)家、家的溫暖
