1. 1

Goodyear is a company that makes tyres — the thick rubber rings on cars, bikes, and trucks — and other rubber goods. People often say it as a brand on the tyre itself (“a Goodyear tyre”), the way you name a kind of product, not only the factory behind it. It is a proper name, so it takes a capital G. In ordinary talk it is just the tyre brand. Though actually, it is not a phrase meaning “a lucky year,” even though you can still hear those two English words inside it.
