Gimmickry is gimmicks treated as a mass, or as a way of working: not one trick, but the whole habit of using tricks to get attention. If a product launch is all lights, slogans, and surprise gifts, and nobody can say what the product actually does, you might call that gimmickry. Like gimmick, it shows . It is uncountable — you do not say “a gimmickry.” A little more formal than gimmick, the sort of word a critic or a teacher might use.
