To gibber is to talk very fast in little broken bits, so that other people cannot catch the words. It often happens when someone is very or shocked, and the mouth runs ahead of the mind. The sounds may be English words, but they tumble out in a mess. You will hear it more in stories and news writing than in calm everyday talk: he was gibbering with fear. It is not a kind description — it makes the speaker sound out of control. Though actually, people also use it of quick, messy animal noise, like a monkey. It is not the same as chatting, and it is not speaking another language.

組成Uncertain. Usually regarded as a back-formation from gibberish: English probably made the verb by cutting -ish off the older noun, not the other way round.
