Geodata is information about where something or someone is on Earth: a point on a map, a street line, the shape of a building, how high the land is, or where a bus is right now. Phones, maps, and weather apps run on it. It is a tech and science word (reports, apps, city planning), not a word you need at the dinner table. People also say “geographic data” or “location data” for the same idea. It is not a photo of a place; it is the numbers and shapes that tell you position.
