Fuzzy describes something covered in short, soft hair or fluff, like a baby chick or a peach's skin, so it looks and feels soft and a little unclear at the edges. From that image, "fuzzy" also describes anything unclear or hard to make out — a fuzzy TV picture is blurry, and a fuzzy memory is one you can't quite remember clearly.
