A furrier is a person whose trade is fur clothing: making it, repairing it, or selling it. You take a fur coat to a furrier the way you take shoes to a cobbler. The job is old, and in many places it has grown rare, because real fur is expensive and many people no longer want it. You will meet the word in older stories, in museum labels, and still over some shop doors. It is a job title, not a feeling. Though actually the spelling is a trap, because furry already has a comparative that looks the same: someone might joke that a cat is furrier than a dog.
