    FSA is the short name of the Financial Services Authority, the UK body that used to watch banks, insurance firms, and other money businesses and try to keep customers safe. You will see it in older news, textbooks, and company papers. Though actually, that office does not exist in that form any more: in 2013 the UK split the work, mainly between the FCA (how firms treat customers) and the PRA (whether banks are strong enough). So FSA is a formal British finance-and-law label, often historical. People almost never say the letters in everyday talk.
