A French-Canadian is a person from Canada whose family has spoken French there for a long time, especially families whose people first came from France. Many live in Quebec, and French is part of home life, not only a school subject.

You can use it for a person (a French-Canadian) or to describe things (French-Canadian food, French-Canadian history).

You can use it你可以用它 for a person指人（a French-Canadian一位法裔加拿大人），or to describe things或用來描述事物（French-Canadian food法裔加拿大的食物、French-Canadian history法裔加拿大的歷史）。

Though actually, it does not mean every Canadian who can speak French. Plenty of people in Canada learn French later. And some people in Quebec would rather be called Québécois, because French-Canadian can feel a little old or too wide, as if all French-speaking Canadians were one group.
