Foosball is table football: the game with rows of little players on rods, fixed to a table, where you twist the rods to kick a small ball. In American English this is the usual name; British speakers more often say table football. The sense here is the game treated as a sport — clubs, tournaments, serious practice — not only a casual game in a café. In Taiwan you will see the table in night markets, restaurants, and student spaces; people play for fun, but some players train hard. Informal. Say it FOOZ-ball.
