Fidelity means being loyal and faithful - keeping your promises and commitments to someone. It's most often used about marriage or a relationship, where fidelity means staying faithful to your partner. Separately, in music and electronics, 'high fidelity' (often to 'hi-fi') describes sound equipment that reproduces sound very accurately and clearly.
