"Fickle" describes someone, or something, whose feelings, opinions, or loyalty change often and suddenly, without a good reason — you can't count on them to stay the same. "A fickle friend" might be close to you one day and cold the next. People also say "fickle weather," meaning it changes quickly and unpredictably — sunny one moment, raining the next.
