    A Ferrari is a very fast, expensive car made by the Italian company Ferrari. The company makes sports cars for the road and racing cars for the track, and the name is also used for the racing team. In many places a red Ferrari is a picture of money and speed: people turn their heads when one goes past. Strictly, the word is only this make, though people sometimes use it loosely for any flashy sports car. It is a brand name, so it takes a capital F. The cars are named after Enzo Ferrari, who started the company.
