Expensively means in a way that costs a lot of money. Someone may dress expensively, live expensively, or have a room done expensively: the clothes, the house, the things in it all took a lot of money. It is the adverb from expensive, so it tells you how something is done, not the price sitting alone on a tag. You cannot say “this bag is expensively.” You need a verb beside it: dress expensively, buy expensively, an expensively made watch. It is ordinary English, a little polished, not slang, and not a compliment by itself — it only talks about cost.
