  1. 1前任（口語也常直接說 ex）

    Your ex is the person you used to be with: a former girlfriend or boyfriend, or a former husband or wife. It is informal and very common (I saw my ex at the station). Though actually, it is not only for people who were married — boyfriends and girlfriends count too. The word itself is fairly neutral; the feeling around it often is not. In careful or formal English, people more often say former wife or ex-husband. This is not the test (exam), and not the letter X; those are different uses of the same spelling.

    「ex」指你以前交往過的人，可以是前男女朋友，也可以是前夫或前妻。它很口語也很常見，例如「I saw my ex at the station」。它不只限於曾經結婚的人，男女朋友也算。這個字本身相當中性，但它帶出的感覺常常不中性。在講究或正式的英文裡，人們較常說 former wife 或 ex-husband。
