    If you do something energetically, you do it with a lot of energy, or with a lot of determination — you put real force into the action. You can work, dance, clean, or argue energetically. It can be about the body (running around) or about spirit (speaking up because you care). It is the everyday adverb from energetic, a little more careful than just saying “with lots of energy,” though in speech many people still choose the longer phrase. It does not mean the person is angry; it means they are not half-doing it.
