Endoscopy is the examination, not the camera. A doctor uses an to look at the inside of the body — the stomach, the bowel, a joint, and other places. It can be a check to find out what is wrong, or part of a small operation. For the patient it usually means a hospital visit, sometimes with medicine to make you sleepy, and then a thin tube going in through the mouth or another opening, or through a small cut. You will hear it when someone says, "I have to have an endoscopy." It is a medical word; in casual talk people may just say "a camera test" or "a stomach check."
