1. 1艾曼塔起司(有洞的那種瑞士黃起司;口頭常直接叫「瑞士起司」)

This is a hard yellow cheese from Switzerland, the kind with round holes in it. Shops may spell it Emmental or Emmenthal — same cheese, not two kinds. The holes come from gas while the cheese sits and gets older; they are not cut in later. The taste is mild and a bit nutty, not sharp like . In the United States many menus just say Swiss cheese for this look, though actually that label can cover other pale cheeses with holes too. You meet it in sandwiches, on burgers, and melted in a shared pot (fondue). It is only a food name: not slang, not fancy, not a metaphor in ordinary talk.

組成Named after the Emmental, a valley in Switzerland (the river Emme + German Tal, 'valley'). The -thal spelling is an older German way to write that same 'valley' piece.
